NCR Pads, NCR Books and NCR Sets

NCR stands for “No Carbon Required” and it refers to paper that has been treated with a special coating that reacts to the pressure of a pen.

Each sheet of paper is then glued together, and what is written onto the top sheet is then copied onto the subsequent sheets without the need to use any blue carbon paper.

NCR SETS

NCR SETS are where you have 2, 3 or 4 sheets of NCR paper, all of the parts are glued together to make one complete set. The NCR sets are then boxed loose. Being loose NCR sets they are ideal for occasional use where you don't need to keep in order. Once complete, you can separate the individual sheets to pass on to any department needing a copy.

NCR PADS

NCR PADS are where the sets are all glued together at the top into a pad. The standard is 50 sets per pad. Pads are supplied with a wrap-around writing shield that is glued to the underneath of the pad to prevent loss. You fill out your form on the pad you can then tear off the individual sheets for distribution. NCR Pads are ideal if you need to keep a number of sheets with you at any one time for frequent use. 

NCR BOOKS

NCR BOOKS are where the sets are stapled with a hard spine all together into a book. The difference is that with a book, the last page of the set, usually, remain in the book while all the other parts can be removed.

The front of the NCR book holds a protective cover and greyboard back. The NCR books are stapled and bound with tape along the spine for extra durability. NCR books are ideal for frequent use if you need to keep a detailed record to refer back to, like the stub in your bank cheque book. NCR books are kept in date order or individually numbered. 

NCR Books are perfect for keeping copies of files together, ensuring that nothing will go missing.
